Local-first records
Products, clients, payments, reminders, receipts, and form drafts are handled in the app’s private storage.
SubSync is an offline-first client, subscription, and payment manager by Zano Studio. This policy explains what stays on your device, when other services are involved, and how you can manage your information.
At a glance
You do not need a SubSync account for the app’s core features. Your business records are stored locally, not sent to a Zano Studio business-record server.
Products, clients, payments, reminders, receipts, and form drafts are handled in the app’s private storage.
Android may back up eligible data. CSV and Excel exports are files you choose to create—not complete, automatic app backups.
Optional Pro purchases and purchase restoration use Google Play. The app does not receive your full card details or payment credentials.
Exporting a file, contacting support, or opening a call or WhatsApp action can involve a destination or service you select.
SubSync processes information you enter or select to organize your business records and provide the features you use.
If you enter information about clients or other people, make sure you have an appropriate basis to use that information. Only enter information necessary for your business purpose.
Business records are stored in a local app database. Preferences and purchase-state information are stored in local app files, and receipts and saved drafts use app-private storage.
SubSync does not require an app account or upload your client, product, payment, or receipt records to a Zano Studio backend. Core record management works offline. Purchases, purchase restoration, and services you open outside the app may require internet access.
Depending on your Android version, device, account, and system settings, Android may back up or transfer the SubSync database and user settings. A backup may be stored with the backup service configured on your device. This is an operating-system feature, not a SubSync-hosted cloud service.
When you export, the system document picker lets you select a destination. That destination can be local storage or a cloud document provider available on your device. The selected provider handles the exported copy under its own terms and privacy policy.
Exports can contain client names, phone numbers, payment information, notes, and custom fields. They are ordinary readable spreadsheet files, not password-protected or encrypted backup archives created by SubSync.
Exported files remain at the destination you choose until you or that provider remove them. Deleting data in SubSync or uninstalling the app does not delete those copies.
Optional Pro features are purchased through Google Play. Available offers may include a subscription or a one-time purchase, as shown in the app and Google Play at the time of purchase.
Deleting local app data or uninstalling SubSync does not cancel an active Google Play subscription. Manage subscriptions through Google Play.
You can review permissions and notification settings in Android’s app settings. Denying optional notification or exact-alarm access does not prevent you from managing your business records.
If you email hello@zanostudio.com, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments or details you send. The in-app support action may prefill the app version, device manufacturer/model, and Android version. You can review or remove those details before sending.
Support correspondence is used to respond to your request, investigate reported issues, and meet applicable legal obligations. Please avoid sending client lists, payment records, receipts, passwords, or purchase tokens unless they are necessary to resolve your request.
Calling a client, opening WhatsApp, sending an email, visiting a website, or exporting to a document provider involves the app or service you select. For example, opening a WhatsApp conversation can pass the selected phone number to WhatsApp. These services process information under their own policies.
When you visit this policy page or contact support, hosting and email providers may process information needed to deliver those services, such as an IP address, browser information, or email routing data. These interactions are separate from the app’s local business-record storage.
This version has no in-app advertising or developer-configured behavioral analytics or crash-reporting integration. Google Play and bundled service components may nevertheless process operational or diagnostic information under their own policies. SubSync does not provide a feature that sells your local business records or uploads them for advertising.
Records remain in local storage until removed through supported app actions or Android’s storage controls. Some individual record-deletion actions hide records from normal views while retaining underlying data or related history. Hiding a record is not the same as erasing every stored copy.
Delete All Data clears the business-record database and attempts to remove receipt files. In version 17.21, app preferences, purchase state, and some saved form drafts can remain. If a file-cleanup operation fails, cleanup may need to be retried.
To remove all local app storage, use Android’s Clear storage / Clear data control for SubSync or uninstall the app. These actions remove locally stored records, receipts, settings, and drafts, but do not remove previously exported files, provider-held backups, support messages, or Google Play billing records. Android may restore eligible data later if you reinstall with system backup restoration enabled.
SubSync uses Android app-private storage for its local database, preferences, drafts, and receipt files. Access protections depend on Android’s app isolation and your device’s security. Protect your device with a screen lock, install system updates, and take care when allowing other people to use an unlocked device.
The app does not add password-based encryption to CSV/XLSX exports. Anyone with access to an exported file may be able to read it. Use a trusted storage destination and share exports only with intended recipients.
No device or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. A lost, compromised, rooted, or shared device can expose information. Review the security and privacy controls of Google Play, your backup provider, and any service you choose to use.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy of personal information held about you, and to complain to a relevant privacy regulator. Contact hello@zanostudio.com about information Zano Studio receives, such as support correspondence. We may need information to verify and respond to a request.
Zano Studio cannot retrieve or remotely erase business records stored only on your device. Requests about information held independently by Google, a backup/document provider, or another service should also be directed to that provider.
SubSync is a business-record management tool and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to Zano Studio through support correspondence, contact us so we can review the request and take appropriate action.
